The terrible Green Ghost Water, aka the Sand Hills, aka The Delve, aka Gorses Quarry on the O/S map. Not much sand up there now, mostly gorse and heather with some trees and the odd sharp rusty object to fatally wound the quad bikers.
Grim local history fact. Just over 100 years ago, a man got drunk in the Sundial pub down the road, went home, killed his kid and threw the body in this very quarry.
